Clinic

Our Clinic deals with multispecialist, complex treatment in all fields of stomatology.

Many patients come to our Clinic only for implantological treatment. However, we have observed that in most cases there is need for multispecialist treatment (replacing prosthetic restorations, rebuilding teeth, restoring proper occlusion determining the appropriate contact of teeth, etc.), and therefore, in our Clinic there are also doctors of other stomatological specialisations: prosthetics, conservative stomatology, endodontics, orthodontics, pedodontics, and periodontology.

We have been specialising in dental implantology for 12 years. We use some of the most important and most advanced implant systems (e.g. 3i Implant Immovations, Nobel Biocare, Straumann) so that patients in all situations can be taken care of. We also cooperate with other prosthetic offices, for which we provide implantological treatment (placing dental implants). We use all kinds of procedure techniques of implanting as well as prosthetic reconstruction.

Our Clinic is also an educational centre for other doctors specialising in implantology – we offer courses and postgraduate trainings.

Doctors may also come to us with their patient for consultation or carrying out complex implantological procedures under the supervision of our specialists.

In our Clinic – through cooperation with other centres, including university centres – we use the most updated solutions and procedure techniques in implantology.

Apart from being an owner of a private Dental Implantology Clinic I am also a director and a lecturer of the Central European Implant Academy (CEIA) at the Institute of Stomatology Collegium Medicum of the Jagellonian University in Cracow, as well as the head of Implantological Department of the Institute of Stomatology Collegium Medicum of the Jagellonian University.

CEIA is one of few centres of this type in Europe. It organises trainings, lectures and advanced courses for doctors not only from Poland, but also from the whole Europe.

As part of my activity at the University I make scientific research in cooperation with several other implantological centres in the world. The research is on implantology and bone regeneration techniques. The last international research projects that I am engaged in is a study on new implant surface that considerably improves the integration of implants with the bone marrow and makes implantological treatment in immediate loading of dental implants more effective.

This activity allows me to constantly take part in the development of implantology in the world, as well as gives an opportunity to assess particular surgical procedures and new materials introduced to the market.

It allows me to use various forms of treatment objectively and choose the best therapeutic solution.

In our clinic, particular emphasis is put on aesthetic prosthetic solutions – all-porcelain crowns and prosthetic bridges, as well as immediate prosthetic reconstruction based on the implants introduced.

Thanks to this method, a patient coming in for treatment has the possibility to have an implant inserted into a bone and a prosthetic restoration made (a crown, bridge, or a prosthesis on implants) within 24–48 hours.

This is especially important to our patients coming from distant regions of Poland or from abroad.

This is very important, as well as fashionable, in implantology, as it gives much comfort to the patients and gives the possibility to lower the costs of treatment.

I used the word ‘fashionable’ intentionally, as I have noticed that, unfortunately, some procedure techniques are overused in many stomatological procedures, mainly for the purpose of advertisement.

We must remember that not all solutions may be used in any case and, although we have many solutions at hand, we should always approach the patient individually – very often a patient needs initial preparation: conservative, prosthetic, andodontic, surgical, etc.

It often happens that the patient’s condition does not allow for implantation. Regeneration techniques are used then – rebuilding the bone tissue to create anatomical conditions ideal for transplants and to improve the aesthetics of the soft tissue, especially in the front parts of the jaws.

The advantageous fact that when e.g. an edentulous patient comes to us, he almost immediately receives dentition in the form of a prosthetic bridge fixed permanently on implants, must always result from the indications and contraindications for a given procedure.

This is why the first contact with a patient is very important – making a thorough examination, making a diagnosis, and then planning the phases of the treatment. If the patient cannot come personally, we either contact his doctor or ask the patient to send X-ray pictures, computed tomography, diagnostic models, etc, so that we can prepare for the treatment before the patient, who covers a long distance at times and who has little time, comes to our Clinic.

Next, we carry out consultation visit and set up a schedule and a plan of treatment depending on the needs and the conditions.

In my opinion, implantology is the most modern and the most dynamically developing fields of stomatology that offers many options for helping patients, sometimes in situations hopeless for conventional prosthetic medicine.

However, as a surgical technique, it must be used with full responsibility and knowledge, as well as with experience and skill.

Therefore, in contact with my patients, I dedicate time to explain the nature of the treatment and the possibilities it gives, and as the director of a university implantology unit, I try to put emphasis on training doctors in this field, so that implantological treatment, used with skill and prudence, serves the patients well.

Our Clinic is located near the historical centre of the city. It has good transport connections – 5 minutes away from a motorway, 15 minutes away from the airport, and it has a convenient car park. Many of our patients use the possibility to stay at a nearby hotel.

All organisation matters are dealt with by telephone or via e-mail.

I invite you to Cracow, the old capital of Poland, not only for medical purposes, but also to visit and see our beautiful city with many tourist attractions.
